Monday Marvels

Well, its Monday agian and we are here living and breathing. What a blessing!!! Today's marvels have to deal with love. I will celebrating my wedding anniversary of Friday so I wanted to share the love with all of you.

I thought these Favor Tags byIndigoPearlStudio. say a lot. I really am excited about growing old with my husband. There is so much that we haven't done or seen and I just know that when we do it together, it's gonna be great!!!!

This next item syas something that I have always tried to remember. I think every married or engaged couple should learn this verse. It's timeless and so true. This great piece was crafted by LetterPictures, please go and check out more of the wonderful art.

When I first saw this piece, I thought to myself, "how true" and what a cute way to represent that thought. They say opposites attract, but through it all, those opposites work well together. Thanks so much for this great reminder pitterpatterpress.

My last marvel for my love is this great set of T-shirts.
I looked at them and said," They say it all". What a great statement to make to your spouse as well as the world. I love them, thanks so much OodlesDecals for a wonderful way to celebrate an anniversary.

Choose Life

I had a great time at Bible study tonight. The title was Choose Life with the scripture reference of Deut: 11 - 20. You know sometimes God sends you a word when you least expect it and although Bible study is usually great, tonight it was right on time too!!!
Some points that I want to share with you are:

1. Relationships are the basis of life
2. Balance is the key of life
3. Exchange is the process of life
4. Agreement is the power of life

If you are having struggles in your life, look at some of the relationships that you have with people, they could be the problem.

5. Avoid people that drain, deceive and delay you from your purpose in life.

6. Keep people that develop, deposit, defend, & direct you to your purpose

Through all of this, remember that you have the power to change your life. Just because there is sadness around you, that doesn't mean you have to be sad. Do not let your circumstances determine you!!!! YOU HAVE THE POWER

Monday Marvels

Well, I now it's been a while since I've posted..... but here are a few items that I think are just marvelous.....

These glass beads by CarolsGlassBeads are just beautiful. Look at the intricate details and the colors are just wonderful. You must check out her shop.

This piece of art spoke right to me. I am always looking for Hope and a little reminder that God knows what he is doing. If you sometimes need a little reminder, this may be for you.

This last item, by BusybeeHolidays is a great idea!!!! I have a neice that could this item to keep all of her stuff in one neat place. What an awesome product.

I'm Back!!!!!

Hey everyone, it has been such a long time since I've been able to share anything with you..... and I've missed you :).

Soooo, what have I been up to?

Graduate school has been really challenging, but rewarding at the same time. I am currently at the point where my research can begin so I feel a little more relaxed about everything now.

My sister's are having babies!!!! mixed emotions right now, but I know that my time is coming.

Father fell and broke his hip, ended up in ICU for three days, and in a facility to assist with his care.

School has started, and the first week was great!!!! No students got lost and all the teachers showed up.

I put in new countertops inthe kitchen, I'll post pictures soon

Marvelous Monday

Good Morning!!!!

Today is Monday and it's got to be anouther great week because we are breathing, walking, talking, and thinking with or without assistance. So tooday, I went looking for items that made me marvel.

This gorgeous necklace motivates me to do soething totally marvelous today. Check it out at Audrey Jewelry.

When I saw this pice of art, it made me remember that I am waiting for God to bless me in this way, because being a mom is truly a blessing and a gift from God. This painting is by Studiomeco.

The last item that made me marvel today were these wonderful Jumprope Cards. It made me think back to when I was a kid jumping rope in my neighborhood. That was THE thing to do as a little girl. Thanks so much StormOne.

Revenge

Revenge is something that I think we all struggle with. The daily word today discusses revenge and tells a story about a Preacher that was accosted while preaching. The minister kept on preaching and even prayed for the man and went to visit him in jail.!!!!! Now you know that was CHRIST in his life... could you have been able to do that?
This lesson reminded me of a time when I was looking to get revenge on someone. I was so angry that all my precious time was spent trying to come up with ways to get them back or make them feel what I was feeling. I can honestly say that I have grown in Christ and don't think about revenge as often... It does pop up every now and again, but leaves much quicker now.
I'm so glad to have grown in the Lord :)

Quilt Shop Hop

I had a great time this weekwnd going to the Atlanta Shop Hop. There were 12 shops I had to get to in 4 days. I was ready to go on Thursday and Friday, but on Saturday, I lost some steam and stayed home. I finished today and hopefully I will win the Grand Prize or at least one of the prizes for going to all of the shops.

Project Quilting Challenge #3

Hi everyone, the third challenge has started at Project Quilting. The theme is Valentine's Day, but of course you can't just make a simple Valentine's Day quilt using pink and red..... you have to think out of the box!!!!

I will post my entry here on Sunday so you can see it and the link for voting. I am finding that in all things, I need a little challenge to get better and these little challenges really help me.

Project Quilting Results

Well......
The results are in...... I didn't win the judges award or the people's choice, but I did win one of the drawings!!!!! I ma excited that I won something in this challenge. It is a great compitetion and learning experience for me. The judges gave great feedback for me that I think will help me with all of my future quilting projects.

Primary Colors

I created this project as a challenge for Project Quilting. This is my first time entering any type of challenge and it was fun!!!

When I got the theme, I thought about when I was a teacher and all of my students would always choose one of those colors as a background for a project. It's kinda like a big box of Primary Color Crayons.

A Healthy Heart

O.K. so you know I am on this health kick, along with so many other people, and I use Spark People to help me. Well.... I just read this article about 5 steps to a healthier heart. The 5 steps seem to be very managable.

1. Know your numbers
2. Start exercising... 20 minutes a day
3. Laugh, yep LAUGH!!!! 15 minutes of laughter equals about 30 minutes of aerobic exercise
4. Pay more attention to your waistline than your weight( throw that scale out)
5. Get adequate sleep

Cabin Fever

Well, for the past week, I have been homebound due to icy weather here in Georgia. The schools were closed and we were told to stay home if we really didn't have to go out......so I stayed in.

Now most quilters would have been glad about this, but for some reason, I could only finish 3 projects and then it was like,"what's next".

The next thing for me was to just hang out at home with hubby, who was also on vacation!!!!. That too got a little old then I went to the Wii and began playing video games. This was a true test of me being able to entertain my self and not go into cabin fever.

This did lead me to thanking God that I am not homebound all of the time and I can go out when I want to. Isn't it interesting the things that God can bring to the surface!!!!
