Quilting with a SERGER

Oh My!!!! I had the opportunity to attend this great class at a local quilt shop on Quilting with your serger. At first I thought, hummmmmm this should be interesting, I have never made anything on my serger, I should learn how to do this, so I signed up. WHAT A GREAT DECISION THAT WAS!!!!

In this class we made a Drunkards Trail Wall hanging. All of the fancy stitches on the yellow fabric were created with a serger ( not my basic Singer, but a $2,700 Babylock) They had me drooling over a new machine at first, but I held strong. All the piecing was done on my personal serger though. I even learned a new way to attach my binding....to the back of the quilt. I have never tried to put on a binding that way, have you?

Happily Married

I just celebrated my 10th wedding anniversary!!!!

I am so excited and proud to be able to share this news with all that visit my blog, simply because I know that I am blessed. There are people that were married around the same time that we were, but they didn't make it, in fact I didn't think I was gonna make it!!!

To celebrate, we went to Miami, Fl. and had a blast!!! we splerged a bit on our room and stayed at the fabulous Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove. It was so nice,I didn't even have to leave the property. I pampered myself at their spa and relaxed in our private hot tub!!!! what a way to celebrate!!!!

I want to thank all of those that prayed for me and my marriage because I know I wouldn't have made it without the grace of God!!!

I have pictures that I will post soon.

I PASSED MY TEST!!!!

I am so excited to share with everyone that I passed my comprehensive exams for graduate school. This test was a week long and ended up being 25 pages long!!! I was worried at first, but then I realized that I believe in a God that can do all things!!!

This test was not only about grad school, but it was also about my faith in God and letting him do what he can do. I am so happy that I can now move on with earning my Doctorate.

Crazy Faith

Good evening,

I had a great service today and I just wanted to share it with you. Crazy Faith was the title and it left me really thinking is my FAITH crazy enough. The scripture references were: Luke 18:8, Daniel 11:32, Proverbs 3:5 - 6, Romans 12:3 and ISamuel 13:1.

The pastor told us about Saul and his son Jonathan. Jonathan has so much faith in God, that he went into war against the Philistines with only one sword. Now that sounds impossible, but he held on to his FAITH in God and went up against this army that easily outnumbered them. In order fo Jonathan to do this, he had to have CRAZY FAITH.

Some people have faith in God to fix their finances, but when their child is sick, they run to doctors and medicine instead of God.

Some people believe God for healing their bodies, but not for healing their marriage

Some people will believe God for a new job, but not a new home...

I ask you now,"How crazy is your faith?
